- Using Your Hitch Pin:
- Step 1: Unlock and remove the locking mechanism.
- Step 2: Slide the pin through your hitch receiver.
- Step 3: Attach the locking mechanism to the pin and lock it securely.
- Step 4: Slide the dust cover back in place to protect the lock from debris.

4. Troubleshooting Guide
Common Issues & Solutions:
- Issue: The pin is too short for my hitch.
- Solution: Our hitch pin may not fit Toyota trucks or SUVs with a factory tow package (2"). (3" pin is the way to go for tacoma 2024 and up)
- Issue: My lock and coupler are not keyed alike.
- Solution: Different lock classes cannot be keyed the same.
- Issue: The key won’t unlock the lock.
- Solution: Apply WD-40 or penetrating oil to loosen debris or dirt in the locking mechanism.
5. Common Customer Questions
Q1: I lost my keys and can’t remove the lock.
A: Unfortunately, the lock must be cut off or drilled out using a carbide bit.
Q2: Can I get my hitch pin lock keyed to match my coupler lock?
A: No, locks of different classes cannot be keyed alike.
Q3: What sizes of hitch pins are available?
A: We offer 2" (3" shaft), 2.5" (3.5" shaft), and 3" (4" shaft) sizes. All include a 5/8" hitch pin.
